What is the Lapeer County Community Foundation?

The Lapeer County Community Foundation is a tax-exempt public charity created by and for the people of Lapeer County . It enables the people in Lapeer County with philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about the most - immediately, or through their will . Donors can establish a charitable fund at the foundation by contributing a variety of assets and may also recommend grants - in their name, if they choose - to nonprofit groups they want to support. We offer you all the tax advantages of charitable giving, the long-term benefits of endowment funding, and the ability to establish a legacy fund in the name of your family or a loved one.

The Lapeer County Community Foundation offers:

1)Personalized service by helping individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit agencies discover and meet their charitable and financial goals through easy, flexible, and effective giving.

2)Local expertise with a broad understanding of the Lapeer community's challenges and needs and the ability to match the groups and individuals necessary to address them.

3)Community leadership by playing a key role in addressing the Lapeer community's needs, now and in the future.
